Gray found high with daughter

Donna Huff, age 46, of Gray was arrested after she took her ten year old daughter from the child’s Grandmother on Tipton Lane in Gray. Police found Huff on Norwood Drive, in Gray inside the vehicle along with her ten year daughter who was asleep in the back seat. She was determined to be under the influence, showing signs of being on Meth.

Knox County Deputy Mikey Ashurst received a call from Knox County 911 reporting that Donna Huff, who was possibly under the influence, had taken her ten year old daughter from the child’s Grandmother on Tipton Lane in Gray.

At 3:50 am Deputy Ashurst located the vehicle on Norwood Drive, in Gray. Donna Huff was inside the vehicle along with her ten year daughter who was asleep in the back seat.

Deputy Ashurst determined Donna Huff was under the influence, showing signs of being on Meth.Deputy Ashurst arrested Donna Huff age 46of Gray, KY charging her with Public Intoxication and Endangering Welfare of a Minor.
Donna Huff was also wanted on a Whitley County Arrest Warrant for a Shoplifting charge.

Donna Huff was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

The ten year old child was released to a family member.

Halloween Events Planned at Kentucky State Parks

Kentucky State Parks across the Commonwealth will host Halloween events throughout October. Many of the park system’s campgrounds will have special activities for campers, including decorations, costumes, hayrides and games for the kids. Resort parks, recreation parks and historic sites will also have special events during October.

Asher runs from police

Allison Asher, age 38, of Riverside Loop (Lily) was arrested after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a female subject was intoxicated and trespassing. Asher was observed backing out of a driveway in a black Dodge Dakota. She exited the pickup and took off running on foot and following a brief foot chase and struggle Asher was taken into custody. She admitted taking Xanax and Suboxone earlier.

October is Roadside PRIDE month

The weather is cooling down and it is the prefect opportunity to get out of the house and volunteer. Now is the time to join in southern and eastern Kentucky’s fall cleanup campaign, Roadside PRIDE. The Roadside PRIDE campaign encourages volunteers to pick up litter near their home, church, school, business or favorite spot this fall.
