Relay for Life Fundraiser

As a fundraiser for Relay for Life County Judge Executive Joe Asher (right), Manchester Mayor James Ed Garrison and Randy Craft (left) were on top of Manchester Memorial Hospital until they raised $2500.00. Relay for Life will be held at Rawlings-Stinson Park from noon till midnight Friday June 5.

Sexton to take charge June 8

The Clay County Board of Education has reached an agreement with Clay County School Superintendent Amon Couch and incoming Superintendent William Sexton that will allow Sexton to become the interim Superintendent Monday June 8.

The Clay County Sheriff Office has solved two burglary cases.
A Belles Creek man has been charged in connection with a neighbor break-in. Steven C. Hopkins age 24 of Belles Creek Road (Manchester) was charged after an investigation by Clay County Sheriff Office and Deputy Taye Napier.
