Manchester Police Department Officer Jimmy Smith and Assistant Chief Patrick Robinson were dispatched to a call of a individual that had jumped from the swinging bridge on Bridge Street in the Goose Creek River. Officers discovered Roger Holt of Manchester barely holding on to the bank of the river and not responding to officers.

Two Manchester men were jailed after they lost a wheel off their vehicle at Garrard.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) SGT Steve Smallwood was advised by a passer by of a vehicle broke down on US 421 near Sav-A-Lot. G.H. Sizemore, age 53 of Otter Creek Road (Manchester) and Donnie Baker, 55 of Ernie Couch Road (Manchester) were standing beside the vehicle and told him they had lost a tire wheel. When Smallwood called in KSP Trooper Jarrod Smith also responded to the scene.
