Win, place, show you care by donating blood

For many springtime in Kentucky means Keeneland, Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby. Kentucky Blood Center is celebrating the season with a special Win, Place and Show You Care T-shirt for blood donors. Area donors are invited to give so others may live at the upcoming Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) blood drive at Memorial Hospital on Friday May 5 from 9 AM till 1 PM on the KBC Bloodmobile.

Food Drive

A food drive will be held Saturday May 20 at Gray Hawk Community Park from 4 PM to 10 PM. Admission will be $3.00 plus any nonperishable food item donation (children 3 and under enter for free!) for live entertainment that includes rising country music artist Travis Wayne, local gospel groups: Mercy’s 3, the Lakes Family, New Zion Express and more.
