Relay for Life Golf Scramble

Clay County Relay for Life Golf Scramble will be held Friday May 27 beginning at 10 AM at Big Hickory Golf Course. $200.00 per team; $100.00 per hole sponsor; $5.00 Mulligans; $5.00 Skirts and $5.00 Toss. Prizes for first, second and third place teams and golf course rules will apply. Lunch will be provided. Registration deadline and fees due April 21. Make a Lifelong Impact

Clay County High School, Knox Central High School and Perry County Central High School are teaming up with Berea College to improve local students’ academic performance. Partners for Education at Berea College is looking for 60 new members to serve in the PartnerCorps School Turnaround program to support high school students. Twenty members per school will serve on-site. Interested applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. Citizen or legal, permanent resident, able to pass a criminal and social media background check, and have completed 60 credit hours of college coursework. 421 Will Reduce to One Lane

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a portion of U.S. 421 at milepoints 17.9-20.2 in Clay County will be reduced to one lane beginning Wednesday, March 22 and is expected to conclude on Friday, April 14. The lane closure will be in effect from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. The lane closure is necessary to allow ATS Construction to perform base failure repairs.
