Alumni Board Spotlight

“I could never give back enough for what Cumberlands has done for my life.” Were the words of Clay County educator Bill Lyttle in a feature in the University of the Cumberland Alumni Magazine “Alumni Board Spotlight: Then and Now”. Lyttle was a member of the class of 1975 and is a Member Emeritus, Alumni Board of Directors.

Tax Bills

Effective February 1, 2018, 21% penalties will be added to every unpaid 2017 Clay County tax bill (Real Estate only). Every delinquent tax bill will be transferred to the Clay County Clerk’s office on April 15, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Your bill will be subject to be purchased by a third party and there will be a substantial amount of penalties, interest and fees added to the total, if not paid in the sheriff’s office on or before April 15, 2018. No payments will be accepted after 3 PM on the final day of collections.

Woods and Waters Weekend

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park will host the Kentucky Hills, Woods and Waters Weekend Jan. 19-21. This weekend will give guests a chance to explore Kentucky’s rich cultural and natural history by attending free activities and workshops. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of activities including guided hikes, kayaking, fishing, wildlife watching, and wildlife habitat restoration. Eastern Kentucky University ranked in the top 25 for Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs and in the top 100 for Best Online Graduate Education Programs.
