Clay Library to host Blood Drive Tuesday


Area residents are invited to be life-savers at the upcoming Kentucky Blood Center blood drive to be held at Clay County Public Library on Tuesday November 25 from 1:30 till 6 PM in the Community Room.

Blood donors must have a photo ID, be 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and meet additional requirements.

Neal flown to UK following two-car accident

A two-car accident on Highway 638 Monday sent two people to the hospital and totaled both vehicles. Joanne Sizemore age 27 of Beech Creek Road was traveling east in a 2007 Pontiac G6 when she apparently loss control of her car striking a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Ricky Neal, age 44 of Upper Rader Road.

Napier out as Tiger football coach

Napier-Evan-copySuperintendent Dr. Amon Couch announced Monday a search committee would be formed to find a new coach for the Tiger football team.

The superintendent released head coach Evan Napier and his staff Monday afternoon following their third straight losing season. Napier finished at 7-26 over three seasons as the head coach.
