Boot, Human Remains May Help Identify Body

After nearly a month of searches, investigations and CSI type tests local officials are closing in on the identification of the person whose skull was found near Ephram Creek. During a search Saturday Clay County Corner Danny Finley and members of the Clay County Sheriffs Office discovered a boot covered in moss and two additional legs bones, apparently a tibia and a sliver of another long bone.

Couch named Principal at Williamsburg

Clay County School Superintendent Amon Couch and Carol Roberts of the County Bus Garage were on hand as over 25 bus drivers and employees of the Clay County Bus Garage were on hand to honor the memory of Carl Henson and lined buses on both sides of the four lane during his funeral procession. Clay County School Superintendent Amon Couch has accepted the position of principal of Williamsburg City Schools. Couch will assume the new position on July 1. He began his teaching career at Williamsburg 23 years ago after graduation from the University of the Cumberlands.
Couch will remain at the head of Clay County schools until his contract runs out June 30. The school board hopes to name his replacement by May 15.

A Laurel County Woman and a Manchester man were arrested Sunday after shoplifting in two different Manchester stores according to a press release from Manchester Police Department.

Henson makes his final run
