Customer service training

In an effort to support Kentucky’s tourism industry, The Center for Rural Development (The Center), in partnership with ExecuTrain of Lexington, is hosting a no-cost customer service training in Manchester. The Smile: Hospitality Customer Service Training is on Tuesday, October 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at EKU/Manchester campus. Registration is required.

City Officials Training Awards

Nearly 200 city officials from across the state were recognized for their educational achievement during the City Officials Training Center (COTC) Awards Program at the 2017 KLC Conference & Expo. Including Claude Davis, and James Mills, Councilmembers from the City of Manchester. The annual conference drew in nearly 500 city officials and leaders from across the commonwealth. Davis and Mills received a Level I- Achievement in City Governance Award.

Shaping Clay Part II


The Clay County High School Theatre Department and Tiger Troupe will present an October presentation of The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, a play by Henry Dowell. An adjusted schedule has been announced for, October 27, 28, 30 and 31. Show times each night at 7 PM with the exception of the 31 at 8 PM, after Trick or Treating. Tiger Troupe director Donnie Stevens played the role of a courtroom guard during the play Shaping Clay Part II “The Case of Abner Baker Jr.”
