Bowling Recognized For Her Work To Advance Education

Dr. Joyce Bowling, a teacher at Manchester Elementary School, has been recognized for her work to advance education in Clay County.
 Bowling was presented Forward in the Fifth’s 2014 Appalachian Leaders in Education (AppLE) Award for going above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference in the lives of her students.

Two shot, one dead in shooting at Fogertown

Brian Griffin, 28, of Manchester, passed away Thursday morning at St. Joseph Hospital in London as a result of a gunshot wound he sustained while turkey hunting in the Fogertown area of Clay County.
