Rhonda (Farmer) Monroe resigns from her job
Former Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer's sister Rhonda K. Monroe has resigned from her $77,391 a-year post as Assistant Executive Director of the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.
KSP Trooper C. Jeff Senters named 2012 Trooper of the Year
On Thursday, May 23, 2013 Trooper Charles Jeff Senters, of Manchester and the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London, was honored at a statewide awards ceremony held at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort. Troopers Senters, who was named the 2012 Post 11 Trooper of the Year, was awarded the state wide “Trooper of the Year”.

Monday is Memorial Day and here is a list of area closings:
$25,847.57 in fire dues collected in less than a month, says Mayor
Mayor George Saylor informed the council that since April 25th-May 20th $25,847.57 had been collected in fire dues. Mayor Saylor said, “In less then a month we have already collected more money on fire dues then we did for the entire 2012 year.” Last year the total was just over $25,000.00 collected.
