Funeral services will be held Thursday for a former Clay County businessman. Charles Ray Hubbard, age 49 of London passed away Saturday at UK Medical Center.

Pot Growing Could Mean 40 Years in Jail and $5 Million in fines

Kenneth Ray Childers and Lisa Ann Mosley are scheduled to go on trial in September after being indicted on drug charges. They face not less than five years nor more than 40 years imprisonment, a $5,000,000 fine, and at least four years of supervised release if found guilty.

City Police capture two in theft cases

Manchester City Police have captured two individuals involved in separate theft cases. Leslie (AKA "Co-Jack") Henson and William (AKA "Boo Boo") Jones. Both were arrested and taken to the Clay County detention center.

Clay County Indian Tribe seeks Federal recognition

James “Quietwolf” Sizemore, Chief of the Tribe of Whitetop Band of Native Indians, addressed the Clay County Fiscal Court at their regular meeting this past Monday afternoon, where he asked the Judge/Executive and members of the Court to donate land to the tribe.
