Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers executed numerous arrest warrants in Clay, Rockcastle, and Laurel counties in Kentucky, as well as in southwestern Tennessee last week resulting in the arrests of several Clay County residents.
Donald Bishop, 36, of Oneida, has confessed to starting a trailer fire according to deputy Taye Napier. The trailer was owned by Lee Tyler Brown.
Bishop was arrested and charged with arson, 2nd degree.
A Fogertown man is facing murder charges in the investigation into the death of Brian Griffin. Dwight Douglas Hughes, 61, is scheduled to appear before Circuit Judge Oscar Gayle House Thursday morning August 25 for an arraignment. This court day is three weeks from the time a Clay County Grand Jury indicted Hughes for murder, assault and wanton endangerment.
A Birdhouse missing from Park Trail has been recovered. City Police Officer, Jeff Couch recovered the birdhouse that had been missing since last week.
After months of praying and planning the members of the City of Hope Church have a permanent home they can call their own. The Church stayed at or near the top of the bidding on the old Horse Creek school site during the recent online auction.
