Fatal Motorcycle Crash on North Highway 66

On Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at approximately 5:52 PM, the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a motorcycle traffic crash involving a fatality on north highway 66 in Clay County.

Hughes Pleas Not Guilty, Asks for Change of Venue

Dwight Douglas Hughes entered a plea of not guilty Monday during an arraignment before Circuit Judge Oscar Gayle House. Hughes, 61, of Fogertown was indicted for murder, assault and wanton endangerment.

Major Changes to Water Ordinance Planned

Manchester City Council met Monday to discuss a change in their Water Ordinance. They came up with a draft of an ordinance that makes some major changes in fees and connections but does not raise water rates. Further action will be taken on this ordinance at the September 15 City Council Meeting.
