Starting this Friday night, the City of Manchester and the Clay County Family Resource Center will be co-hosting “Free Friday Night Movies in the Park”. These movies, all completely FREE, will be playing at the Rawlings & Stinson Park every Friday night in June starting at 9 p.m.
Jacqueline Jeanette Curry, 33, formerly of Curry Branch, was arrested at approximately 10:00 a.m. Sunday in downtown Manchester, after an early morning spree of theft and vandalism of city property.

A medical helicopter crashed in eastern Kentucky, killing all three crewmembers aboard.
A statement from the helicopter’s company, Air Evac Lifeteam, says it was on its way back to base around 11:16 p.m. Thursday when the accident happened in Manchester. The helicopter went down in the Paces Creek Elementary School parking lot on Highway 421 and 80.
Search for board attorney begins
Dr. Amon Couch will lead the Clay County Public School system on an interim basis, after board members voted on the appointment of Couch as interim superintendent at Monday's school board meeting. The vote was 4 to 1 in favor of Couch with the lone vote against coming from District 4 Board Member, Roy Glenn Allen.
