Swimming pool will not open this year

City gets two new police cruisers

No swimming pool this year at Beech Creek Recreational Park. That was a final call from Monday's City Council meeting. Mayor George Saylor says, “The pool won’t be ready this year, but with the money we have from a grant and the hope of new grant money n 2014, the pool will re-open next year and be one of the best in the area.”
