A well-known Clay County Preacher was laid to rest Tuesday at Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Wade Hacker, 85, of Manchester, passed away Saturday at the Manchester Memorial Hospital, from an aneurysm in his heart.

Highway Garage Thefts Waived to Grand Jury

The case against a man accused in stealing more than $10,000 in tools and diagnostic equipment from the State Highway Garage has been waived to the Grand Jury.

This is according to sources at the Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Joseph Slone, 27, of Manchester, was charged several weeks ago with two counts of third degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking.
