White has surgery for broken bones

Marietta White, who suffered multiple injuries Thursday night downtown when struck by a truck, had surgery Monday to repair some of her broken bones.

Jackson County Sheriff opposes any gun ban

Embattled Jackson County Sheriff Denny Peyman has announced that he will oppose any government attempt to ban firearms.
In a press release Thursday, Peyman said he is concerned about proposed federal legislation that could result in massive gun ownership bans and orders of confiscation.

Tenhets indicted for alleged drug dealing

The former owners of two Manchester pharmacies, Charles Terry Tehnet and Melissa L. Tenhet, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly distributing oxycodone from March 2011 through September 11, 2012.
