Danville doctor suspended after overdose death investigations

Breaking News:

The state has suspended the medical license of a Danville psychiatrist as officials investigate allegations that twelve of his patients from Clay County have died of drug overdoses on drugs prescribed by Dr. Melborne Williams between April 2011 and March 2012.

Napier dies in Laurel accident

Ed Napier, 47 of Manchester, died Thursday morning as the result of injuries he received in a two-vehicle accident on KY 229 in Laurel County,

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, Napier, alone in a 2006 Chevrolet Cavalier, pulled out from KY 1189 westbound, and collided with a 1993 Buick that was northbound on KY 229.
