Bowling Set to Tee Off in Kentucky Open

Manchester native Trey Bowling teed off early Tuesday morning in the PowerBilt Kentucky Open hoping for his second Kentucky Open championship.

Bowling, a former Mr. Golf candidate at Clay County High School won the Open title in 2008 as an amateur.

Two held for murder of juvenile

Brenda Bolton, 52 of Crawfish Road, and Kenny Wayne Collins, 45 of Ham Hollow, are being held in jail under $250,000 cash bond each for alleged complicity to commit the murder of 16-year-old Jamie Biers last May 26.

New Gridiron Coach Says Tigers Are Adapting Well

New Tiger football Head Coach Kenny Roark goes over instructions during a recent Clay County practice.

With just under a month to go before the Clay County Tiger football team kicks off their 2011 football season, first-year Head Coach Kenny Roark says his players and staff is adjusting well to his new schemes.

“I think everyone’s adapting well,” said Coach Roark, “They’ve never been around anything like this.”
