An escapee from a Jefferson County half-way house was captured in Clay County Wednesday evening by the Kentucky State Police.
Clay County residents who do not pay their taxes are keeping thousands of dollars that could be used to support schools, the public library and other taxing districts, according to County Clerk Mike Baker.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the early Saturday morning automobile accident that took the life of a young London woman.
A source close to the Clay County School Board told the Enterprise this week that the board is considering moving sixth grade students to the middle school, rather than close the middle school, and move the seventh and eighth grades to the elementary schools.
