17 Arrested in Operation Avalanche
The first phase of a countywide drug bust was carried out throughout this week, resulting in the arrest of seventeen accused drug dealers.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department is calling it Operation Avalanche, as part of an effort to crack down on illegal drug trafficking in the county.
Like an avalanche, charges ranging from possession to manufacturing methamphetamine came down on the accused Thursday, as a result of several months of undercover investigations, says Clay County Sheriff Kevin Johnson.
