A man accused of burying his wife in a shallow grave beneath his trailer pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and abuse of a corpse Monday.
Husband Charged with Murder, Corpse Abuse
On Wednesday Walter Roark led police to the body of his wife, Stephanie Roark, who was buried under his Sandhill mobile home.
The body of a Sandhill woman, Stephanie Roark, 39, was found Wednesday evening, buried in a shallow grave under the crawl space of her husband’s mobile home.
Her husband, Walter Roark, 45, of Sandhill, has been charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.
Mayor Sends Off First Beer License
Mayor George Saylor mailed out Manchester Speedway’s first beer license Tuesday morning at City Hall.The Mayor says Manchester Alcohol Beverage Control Officer Patrick Robinson approved the application for the beer license, and depending on how fast it receives approval from the State, Speedway will be the first to sell beer in the city.
