Manchester Mayor George Saylor Monday night listed several things he wants done during his tenure in office including annexation, increased water rates, a restaurant/motel tax and housing.
J. D. Napier, 37 of Rhodes Street in Manchester, was arrested May 24, and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, wanton endangerment on a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with physical evidence.

The Kentucky Utilities Company, which serves Manchester, has notified the state Public Service Commission (PSC) that it intends to file a rate increase request at the end of this month. The increase, if fully approved, would raise rates by 6.5 percent on residences and governments.
