The Manchester City Council met Wednesday and the city was officially made smoke-free in a final vote.
The ordinance reads that “to protect the public health and welfare by prohibiting smoking in public places and places of employment to guarantee the right of nonsmokers to breath smoke-free air, and to recognize that the public’s need to breathe smoke-free air should have priority over the individual’s desire to smoke”.
The Postal Service has already looked at closing mail processing centers and rural post offices across the United States to avoid bankruptcy.
The grant is one of 18 new Land and Water Conservation Fund project grants to help enhance tourism across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Department for Local Government will administer the funds, totaling $558,537, to project awardees.
