Cloyd Hibbard, 76, of Manchester plead not guilty to charges in Court Tuesday because of the incident.
Around 8 PM Thursday evening, the Kentucky State Police received a report of a shooting incident on Otter Creek Road.
Upon arrival, officers determined that Cloyd Hibbard had shot Bobby Hibbard, 46, of Manchester, in reference to a property boundary dispute.
Bobby Hibbard was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for treatment of his injuries.
According to sources, he is listed in fair condition and is expected to recover.
Cloyd Hibbard was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
He is set for a preliminary hearing July 11, where he must appear with an attorney, according to the Circuit Clerk’s office.
Cloyd Hibbard was still being held at the Clay Detention Center as of press time Tuesday, after Judge Rene Muncy set his bond at $25,000 cash.
Detective Mark Allen is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by Sergeant Tracey Woods, Trooper John Barnett, Trooper Jeff Senters, Detective Donald Wilson, the Clay County EMS and the Manchester Police Department.
