Leading by two at the end of the third quarter, the Raiders were outscored 13-7 in the fourth, falling 44-40.
With a team-high 16 points early in the fourth quarter, Raider Wes Wolfe went down hard, injuring his ankle, forcing the Raiders’ leading scorer to the sideline for the remainder of the contest.
With Wolfe out and teammate Ty Lyttle forced to an early exit due to foul trouble, the Raiders’ firepower wasn’t enough on the offensive end.
Wolfe led all scorers with 16 points, while teammate Blake Smith had a very nice outing with 13 points. Lyttle finished with six points, while Phillip Mitchell and Byron Allen chipped in two points apiece. Billy Wilson rounded out the scoring with an additional point in the loss.

Coach Jimmy Dezarn’s seventh grade Raiders struggled on both ends of the court Thursday night, and the visiting Panthers took full advantage, gaining a 21-point victory.
Trevor Sams led the Raiders with 12 points and nine rebounds. John Sizemore chipped in three, as Will Sexton, Adam Carnahan, and Tyler Fields netted two points apiece. Logan Gabbard rounded out the scoring with an additional point in the loss.
The Raiders return to action Friday, hosting Lexington Catholic. Saturday, the eighth grade Raiders will take part in the Corbin Shootout, and both Raider squads end the week on the road against Corbin on Monday.
