A Manchester woman faces several charges following a two-vehicle accident Monday around noon on U. S. 421/KY 11 (four lane).
According to Manchester Assistant Police Chief Patrick Robinson, Margaret Bowling, 43 of Bridge Street, was traveling south in the left lane when she swerved into the right lane in front of a tractor-trailer. The driver of the truck, James Jones, 50 of Knox County, moved to the right shoulder, but could not avoid Bowling’s Mustang, and struck the vehicle on the passenger side.
She was transported to Manchester Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Bowling was charged with DUI second offense, driving on a suspended DUI license, and failure to surrender a suspended license.
