Former Manchester Police Officer Scotty Sandlin is facing five years in prison after pleading guilty to selling morphine to a confidential informant.
Sandlin, 38 of Price Hollow Road, pled guilty last Wednesday, January 23, in Clay Circuit Court.
The plea was part of an agreement with prosecutors to dismiss a charge of selling oxycodone.
Sandlin was indicted on December 9, 2011 for allegedly selling oxycodone on June 3 of that year, and morphine on June 8.
Sandlin was with the Manchester Police from May 2000 to January 2007.
