Barbourville – The Clay County Tigers dropped to 1-5 on the year Friday night, suffering the worst Tiger football loss in five years after dropping a 52-8 decision to host Knox Central.

After suffering their worst loss in five years, Coach Kenny Roark’s Clay County Tigers (1-5) won’t be able to lick their wounds for too long, as Coach Wayne Mills’ Bell County Bobcats stroll into Manchester Friday night.
Adding to the mix, the Tigers are now without three offensive starters.
Seniors Zach McGeorge and Zac Kemp are no longer with the team, and junior standout Joey Dezarn was injured during last week’s game against Knox Central.

Coach Phillip Jones’ Clay County Lady Tigers extended their win streak to three this past week after winning in straight sets over Middlesboro on Senior Night.
Lady Tiger seniors Brittany Bowman, Sydney Combs, and Danielle Hubbard were each honored before the game, as Clay County easily won in their final home game of the year.
