Lady Tigers Snap Two Game Skid

Coach Phillip Jones’ Clay County Lady Tiger volleyball team snapped a two-game losing skid Monday night, defeating visiting Oneida Baptist Institute twice at Bobby Keith Gymnasium.

Clay County won all four sets on Monday’s two-game series, improving their record to 5-4 on the year.

Tigers Pick Up Much Needed Win Over South Laurel

Senior Tiger quarterback Zach McGeorge prepares to pitch the ball to a teammate during the Tigers' win over South Laurel Friday night.  McGeorge provided two touchdowns for the Tigers in their first win of the year.

Manchester – Coach Kenny Roark’s Clay County Tiger football team came up with two redzone stops in the fourth quarter, forcing two South Laurel turnovers in the final quarter en route to a 46-34 win last Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

The win snapped a three-game losing skid for Clay County as Coach Roark picked up his first win as head coach for the Tigers.

Clay County’s 46 points marked their highest scoring mark of the year thus far.

On the Road Again

Tigers to Face Off Against Winless Whitley County

After picking up their first win of the year against South Laurel last week, Coach Kenny Roark’s Clay County Tigers look to keep their momentum going this week against Coach Jim Black’s Whitley County Colonels.

The Colonels have dropped their first three games this season, putting up only 13 points through three games.

McDaniel Finishes Runner-Up at Mt. Sterling

Tiger golf freshman Tyler “Chip” McDaniel shot a 70 this past weekend for a runner-up finish in a tournament at Mount Sterling Golf and Country Club.

After shooting 70 on the day, McDaniel was forced into a playoff for first place honors, but fell short in the playoff’s first hole.
