The Wait is Over

‘Greatest Show in Hoops’ Begins This Weekend

Despite the recent weather conflicting with this season’s elementary school basketball season more than anticipated, the 2011 First National Bank Elementary Basketball Tournament will begin this weekend.

The final rankings saw the Paces Creek Bears and Goose Rock Lady Rockets with the number one seed, giving them a bye into the semi-finals.

Raiders Rebound to Sweep Whitley

After their runner-up finishes in the 13^th region championship this past weekend, the CCMS Raider basketball teams bounced back, sweeping visiting Whitley County Monday night.

In the eighth grade game, Coach Denver Word’s Raiders jumped out to a 15-9 lead, and never looked back, defeating the visiting Colonels 50-39.
