Paces Creek's Macy Roberts tries to fend off defensive pressure from Manchester's Summer Parker during Tuesday night's game.

Coach Ronnie Mathis’ Manchester Lady Tigers outscored visiting Paces Creek 10-6 in the fourth quarter, giving the Lady Tigers enough to win Tuesday night’s game 36-31.

Paces Creek jumped out to an early 7-5 lead at the end of the first.  Both teams went back and forth throughout the second, but the Lady Bears outscored Manchester 10-8 in the second for a 17-13 lead at the half.

But Manchester stormed back, as Chasity Sizemore scored seven of her nine points in the third quarter, giving her Lady Tigers a 26-25 lead after three.

Coach Rhennie Jones’ Lady Bears couldn’t get over the hump in the fourth, clawing to within one, but couldn’t retake the lead, as Manchester was able to hold on for the five-point victory.

The win improves Manchester to 7-0 on the year, while Paces Creek falls to 4-3.
