Little League Basketball Sees Another Successful Year

Youngsters from across the county participated in this year's Clay County Little League basketball program.

Tuesday night marked the end of the sixth annual Clay County Little League basketball program, as medals were presented following each game at Clay County High School Tuesday night.

The Clay County Tiger and Lady Tiger basketball teams run the little league basketball program as an introduction to the game of basketball for Clay County children in grades K-2.

Elementary Tip-Off Tourney Set

The eighth annual Clay County Elementary School Preseason Tip-Off Tournament is set, and scheduled to begin Saturday, November 5 at the Clay County High School.

Bobcats Claim Spider Thurman Bowl Championship

The Burning Springs Bobcats captured their second consecutive Spider Thurman Bowl title defeating Goose Rock 16-8 Monday night at Tiger Stadium.

In front of one of the largest crowds to every witness an elementary school championship game, Coach Scott Reid and the Burning Springs Bobcats edged Goose Rock 16-8 to win their second straight Spider Thurman Bowl Championship Monday night.

“The more adversity a team faces, the stronger they become,” said Coach Reid following his team’s title victory.

Defending Champs End Rockets' Win Streak

Bobcats, Tigers, Wildcats Win in Regular Season Finale

After remaining unbeaten all year, the Goose Rock Rockets’ shot at an undefeated season came to a crashing halt Saturday as the defending county champion Burning Springs Bobcats defeated the Rockets 20-6 at Tiger Stadium.
