2 Flown to UK After Roots Branch Shooting
Fusner may be responsible for a double shooting that occurred on Roots Branch.
A man hunt is underway in Clay County after a man shot two people at a home on Roots Branch Thursday.
Two people, who's identities have not been released, were flown to UK Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Though their conditions are unknown, police say they believe the victims of the shooting will pull through.
Clay County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police, along with Clay EMS responded to the shooting. All units are out looking for the man who may be responsible.
Police are currently looking for Jeremy Fusner, 21, of Roots Branch. Police believe he may have fled in a white pick-up truck.
A neighbor of Fusner, Virgil Smith, said he heard the gun shots. He was sitting on his porch when the incident occurred.
"A man came running out of the house and yelled for someone to call 911, so I went inside and called and grabbed a gun to protect myself," said Smith.
Smith says he knows Fusner, and said when he heard that Fusner was responsible for the shooting, it seemed unlike him.
