A local pastor and spokesman for Count the Cost, Citizens Organized for a Safer Tomorrow, John Boley says the upcoming wet/dry vote is a vote on morality.
Boley says, “Many arguments in favor of voting to legalized package stores will be made and most will have to do with raising city revenue and shutting down the bootleggers. Some may suggest that alcoholics and casual drinkers are going to get their alcohol anyway, so we might as well make the money and keep the money here. Others will think that people who opposed the wet vote shouldn’t be trying to impose their beliefs on other people.”
