Shaker’s Pizza of Manchester has re-opened under its original owner.
Bobby Roberts, who founded the pizza chain, says Shaker’s Pizza is dedicated to giving the community better pizza for a better price.
Shaker’s re-opened on Christmas Eve. Roberts says that business is booming.

Jackson County recorded the state’s highest unemployment rate — 15.1 percent. It was followed by Fulton County, 14.2 percent; Magoffin County, 14 percent; McCreary County, 13.9 percent; Meade County, 13.5 percent; Clay County, 12.8 percent; Bell County, 12.7 percent; Lee County, 12.4 percent; Menifee County, 12.3 percent and Wayne County, 12.2 percent.

Voters must turn in their party change cards in person at the County Clerk’s Office, located at the Administration Building by Thursday. If they mail their party change cards, they must be postmarked no later than December 31.

James Lawrence “Jim” Rose, age 73, died in Lexington, KY, on December 19, 2011, of complications from a recent heart attack.
Rose was a well known businessman and philanthropist from Clay County.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Sizemore Rose, and by his son, James F. “Jamie” Rose (and his wife, Kris) and by his daughter, Sonya Rose Hiler (and her husband, Ken), all of Lexington, KY.
