Les Carnahan laid to rest

On a cold January day, a man who brought warmth to many in Clay County was laid to rest.

Leslie “Les” Carnahan was transported from the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church Saturday in a mule drawn wagon down the road to the family cemetery.

Apartment scene of tragic death

Death

Manchester Police and the Clay County Coroner are continuing an investigation into the Friday death of Charlene Napier Mullins.

Mullins, 55, was found dead in her Lighthouse Apartments (formerly known as the Smith-Ford Building at the junction of KY 80 and U. S. 421) home Friday afternoon.

Davidson found dead in Ohio

Paul Kevin Davidson, a former star football player at Clay County High School, was found dead Monday at his Cincinnati residence.

A spokesperson for the Hamilton County, OH coroner’s office would not give details of the death.  He said only that Davidson was 37 years old, and he confirmed the death.

Bond revoked/ Sizemore sent to jail

More than two years after Lannie Sizemore allegedly killed a Pineville woman in an automobile crash, he was sent to jail Monday for violating the terms of his bond.

Special Prosecutor Jackie Steele of London made a motion to Clay Circuit Judge Oscar Gayle House to have Sizemore’s bond revoked because he had been cited for driving on a suspended license.

Steele said that Sizemore was to have no further violations while on bond.  “His weapon of choice is a motor vehicle,” Steele said of Sizemore.
