Beer Licenses Roll In

London Could Be on Manchester’s Heels

Construction has begun at Speedway in Manchester, to drop in their pre-fabricated beer cave. Rite Aid recieved it's beer license on press time Tuesday, the third beer license to be issued in Manchester.

Licenses for beer continue to roll in, as Rite Aid in Manchester made the third local business to receive its beer license Tuesday.

Last week, Speedway received a beer license, and has begun tearing up foundation in order to drop in a pre-fab “beer cave”.

Lipps Has Stand Off with Police

A Manchester man has been charged with kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment after a stand off early Tuesday morning with police.

Lloyd Kevin Lipps, 37, was apprehended by Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies around 1:30 PM, after an hour of holding a woman and six-year-old child in a locked bedroom with a gun.

Campbell Leads Police on Mile Long Chase

A Manchester man whose identity has not been confirmed is behind bars for fleeing and evading police, and wanton endangerment of a police officer.

According the Clay County Chief Deputy Brian Jackson, the man whose identity is believed to be William “Bill” Campbell, 39, of Manchester, comes from a family of multiple siblings named William Campbell.

“The subject in this case has not been forth coming with his identity, and we’re having to compare finger prints in order to positively identify him as the correct William Campbell,” says Jackson.

Hallelujah Festival This Weekend

 The 2011 Hallelujah festival is set for Saturday, and will be held at Rawlings and Stinson Park in Manchester.

The festival is a one-day free Christian festival, and non-denominational.
