Former Residents’ Child Dies in Wrong-Way Crash
A child killed in a wrong-way crash Sunday night has Clay ties.
Five-year-old Blake Cohorn, of Lexington, the son of Wendi Estep-Cohorn and Rocky Cohorn, former residents of Clay County, was declared dead at the scene of the wrong-way accident that happened in Woodford County. Wendi and Rocky were both taken to the UK Hospital.
Drug ring ready to plead guilty, says motion
Ten defendants, Eugene Slone, Ruth Beckner, Larry Smith, Angela Smith, Danville Little, Malla McCown, Curtis Venters, Tony Short, Amanda Short and Jason Sparkman, implicated in a drug ring and subsequent murder plot involving two cooperating witnesses have moved for a speedy trial, according to a motion filed recently.
