The Clay County Fiscal Court met for the first time this year Thursday, with new County Judge-Executive Joe Lewis Asher, and Magistrates Jimmy “Jimbo” Lyttle, Price Hoskins, Sonny Gay, Hugh Gregory, Randall Wagers, and Johnny Johnson.
County Clerk Mike Baker called roll for a motion at County Judge/Executive Joe Lewis Asher’s first Fiscal Court meeting this year.

Starting this month, Clay County school principals (grades kindergarten - 12th grade) will no longer be signing or issuing bus passes for students to allow them to go somewhere different than where they normally go.
