The GED test will be free in Kentucky May 15–July 31. Kentuckians taking the test during that timeframe will not have to pay the usual test fee, which will be paid by Kentucky Adult Education, a unit of the Council on Postsecondary Education.
Two Clay residents were pulled from a fiery crash Sunday afternoon in Laurel County.
The accident occurred Sunday at 1:42 pm on KY 472 at the intersection of McKnight Road, 9 miles east of London according to Deputy Larry Parrott with the Laurel County Sheriffs Department.

Arnett was head coach at CCHS from 2008-2010
Former Clay County Tiger football coach, James Shannon Arnett remains in the Polk County Jail, on two charges of possession of child pornography.
On May 7th a Lake Gibson high school student turned a thumb drive in to a Polk County School Resource Deputy, telling the deputy he had found the thumb drive in the school's courtyard and that it had ''inappropriate'' photos on it.
“Road work continues across the county from recent floods,” Judge Executive Joe Asher and magistrates from the six districts conveyed that message from the recent Fiscal Court meeting.
Asher wanted to ask county residents to, “Please be patient. Crews are hard at work and if they haven’t gotten to your road yet, they will.''
