Schools Accept Kosair Pedometer Challenge
Fifth and sixth grade students across Clay County will be taking part in a fitness program where they will be watching their steps!
Therese Sirles and Amy Medley, from Kosair Children's Hospital, demonstrate how a pedometer works to Timmy Bowling from Big Creek Elementary.
Amy Medley, Sen. Robert Stivers, and Superintendent Reecia Samples spoke to Paces Creek Elementary School students about the pedometers they would be receiving Monday, as part of a new program.

Hospital Implements Computerized Provider Order Entry and Eliminates Handwritten Physician Orders
Beginning Tuesday, Manchester Memorial Hospital said farewell to the days of handwritten physician and provider orders for all inpatients in favor of a new, computerized system designed to drastically reduce medical errors and speed up patient care.

Clay County Recipient to ACHIEVE Grant
The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) Monday announced that Manchester, KY has been selected to become part of Action Communities for Health, Innovation, and EnVironmental ChangE (ACHIEVE).
