Emergency Watershed Protection Funds Available for Clay After April Flash Floods

Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State Conservationist Karen Woodrich announced that Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) funds are available to address restoration efforts in Clay County and eight other Kentucky counties.

Free GED Testing Through July 31

The GED test will be free in Kentucky May 15–July 31. Kentuckians taking the test during that timeframe will not have to pay the usual test fee, which will be paid by Kentucky Adult Education, a unit of the Council on Postsecondary Education.

Two pulled from fiery crash Sunday

Two Clay residents were pulled from a fiery crash Sunday afternoon in Laurel County.

The accident occurred Sunday at 1:42 pm on KY 472 at the intersection of McKnight Road, 9 miles east of London according to Deputy Larry Parrott with the Laurel County Sheriffs Department.

Springfest this Saturday

5K Race begins at 9 am with registration

Fun for the whole family can be found at Springfest in the Governor's Campground and R.V. Park at Beech Creek, Saturday, May 18th!
Festivities will begin at 1:00 PM with flowerpot decorating for the kids. A flower will be included.
