Well folks I’m sorry I didn’t get to put my write up in the paper last week. I’ve been sick and so has my wife. It’s hard to get to see a doctor on the weekend or through the holidays. We need more good doctors here in Clay County and we want have to go to London or Corbin or Lexington. We need them here in our county.

Well we’ve had beautiful weather the last few days, I guess its Indian Summer the old timers would say but today we’ve got a little rain and we sure needed it. It’s been so dry.
Well deer season is here and a lot of hunters will be out looking for the BIG ONE, so be careful when you shoot and good hunting.
Well next Thursday will be Thanksgiving and a lot of people will be getting together to enjoy the holiday. We should be thankful everyday for Gods goodness and his mercy. We had a good Sunday school Sunday and good services also. The Roots Branch Church will be having their monthly singing this Saturday night starting at 6 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
I want to thank everyone that reads my little write up. I truly appreciate you all.
I’ve been working on the farm pond while the ground is dry. There is always work around the place to do, if you are able to work.
Let’s remember the ones that have lost a loved one this past week: the Roberts family. So many pass away each week as I write about every week. We are here today and we could be gone tomorrow. Remember the sick: Christine Sizemore, she is in the hospital at Somerset at this time, she has pneumonia so pleas pray for her, also Caleb Wilson, Waymon and Joyce Mills. Remember our military men and women and our Vets as we had Veteran Day last week. All of us have lost loved ones fighting for our country.
Well I don’t have any birthdays this week.
Our roads on Roots Branch sure needs patching. The upper part is in bad shape and the blacktop is crumbling up and going back to the dirt. Our county officials need to get out and travel over the roads and see the needs of our roads and fix them.
Well I want to thank the staff at the Enterprise for helping me with my little column each week and thank the readers out there for buying the paper. I know everyone that writes their columns appreciates you all too.
So for this week God bless you and your family and God Bless America and may he forever hold you in his hands.
