WISHING EVERYONE A WHITE CHRISTMAS!

Deadlines for a column are naturally, several days before the paper comes out. So when I push the button and email my column in on Sunday night, a lot can change before the paper comes out on Wednesday afternoon. So here’s hoping that the weather forecast I saw last Sunday that predicted a chance of snow showers has panned out and we are all enjoying a White Christmas!

ANY DAY SPENT SEWING, IS A GOOD DAY

We have certainly had some brisk and icy days this past week. I have to say that I enjoy having a snow day in which I can still get out and about. On days that the sun shines, the snow tends to melt off of our hill by mid afternoon, especially if it’s had a little help with a broom that morning. Cabin fever type snowstorms are another story.

OUR LITTLE TOWN HAS HAD MANY IMPROVEMENTS OVER THE LAST BIT

Downtown was a Christmas wonderland this past Friday night. Several storefronts were lit with hundreds of lights and the art students from CCHS were just finishing up painting winter scenes on the storefront windows. We passed a horse drawn carriage bearing passengers as we pulled in to park. I bought some beautifully made earrings from Carrie Craft.

Congratulations to Brad and Jordon Phillips Foster on the birth of their baby boy. Jaxon Bradley Foster was born on Friday, November 27th, weighing in at 7 pounds and 2 ounces.
