The Manchester Enterprise: Obituaries

In Memory of C. Lewis Hobbs

C. Lewis Hobbs left this world on September 2, 2011. He was loved by many and respected by all.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all who mourned his passing.

To Reverend Joey Burns and Reverend Brad Stevens, I thank you for your kind words and remembrance of the joys of Lewis’ life while he was still with us.

Donnie Brad and Candon Stevens for your beautiful tribute in music and song. Thank you so very much.

For all who sent flowers, gifts, brought food, gave words of encouragement, visited Lewis while he was in the hospital, or was present at any time to give their support, the Horse Creek Baptist Church for all your prayers, and to Britton Funeral Home and Jim Trosper for their expertise during our time of mourning.

It is my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved and those I may have accidentally overlooked.

Respectfully and God Bless,

Clara Hobbs and the Hobbs Children

In Memory of Willie Smith

My Dad

If I could write a story

It would be the greatest ever told,

Of a kind and loving father

Who had a heart of gold

I could write a million pages

But still be unable to say, just how

Much I love and miss him

Every single day

I remember all he taught me

I’m hurt he won’t be sad

Cause he’ll send me down the

Answers and he’ll always be

My Dad

Willie-Smith

Farewell My Precious Daddy

Farewell my precious daddy

Your race on Earth is done

You now live in Heaven

With God and His Gracious Son

Although my heart mourns for you

And my eyes are filled with tears

I am thankful that I had you

To love and guide me through the years

You were always an inspiration

Your strength, it knew no bounds

I know that God has blessed you

With many Heavenly Crowns

So farewell my precious daddy

You will always be in my heart

I will remember your gentle teachings

From which I’ll never part

In loving memory of my precious daddy

Willie Smith

Who walked through Heaven’s Gate
