Millie Massey, 99, of Lexington, formerly of Clay County, passed away Friday at The St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Funeral services for Millie Massey were held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at The Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Leon Thomas officiating.  Burial followed at The Massey Cemetery at Jacks Branch.

Harlan William "Dub" Grubb

Harlan William “Dub” Grubb, 62, of Sidell, passed away Monday at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife, Cherrie Grubb & these children: Lewis Mark Grubb, of Manchester, Natasha Nicole Gay, Henderson, KY., Keisha Spangler, Georgetown, KY., & Jessica Smallwood, Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is also survived by these grandchildren: Isaith & Alivia Spangler, Dylan & Lauren Gay, Ricky Grubb, Jonathon & Danielle Smallwood, and 1 great granddaughter, Sophia Peterson. The following brothers & sisters: Jack Grubb, Johnny Grubb, Coy Grubb Jr., Della Wagers & Bobbie Jean Cales, all of Corbin, KY., Pollie Smith & Betty Gibson, Sidell, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy & Eva Grubb & his sister, Evelyn Davidson.
Funeral services for Harlan William “Dub” Grubb were held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with William Hudson officiating. Burial followed at the Grubb Cemetery at Little Beech Creek. Visitation was Thursday evening at the Britton Funeral Home.

T. J. Jackson

Mr. T. J. Jackson, age 76 of Manchester, passed away Sunday, August 7th, 2011 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.  He was born January 14th, 1935 to the union of Henry and Lola Grubb Jackson.  He was a coal miner.

He is survived by his wife: Ruth Jackson, and these children: Carol Jean Jackson of Goose Creek, Eugene Jackson of London, Barbara Jackson of Texas, Betty Sue Jackson Hubbard of Manchester, Sue Jackson of Manchester, R. J. Jackson of Manchester, and Norma Jackson of Florida.  Also surviving are these sisters: Evelyn Simpson of Curry Branch, Marie Grubb of Manchester, and Letha Jackson of Pineville, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Lola Jackson, his children: Frieda Jackson and Donna Sue Jackson and these brothers and sister: Volesee Asher, Orville Lee Jackson and Ray Jackson.

Funeral Services for Mr. T. J. Jackson will be held on Wednesday, August 10th, at 2 PM at the Chop Bottom Holiness Church.  Rev. Roscoe Roark, Rev. Willie Smith, Rev. Anthony Lovett and Rev. Ernest Smith will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the T. J. Jackson Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9th, after 6 PM at the Chop Bottom Holiness Church.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Benji Williams

Mr. Benji Williams, 35 of Chop Bottom Road in Manchester, passed away Friday, August 5th, 2011.  He was born January 13th, 1976 in Clay County, to Jimmy Williams and Mae Smith Kirk.

He is survived by his children: Cody Williams of Manchester and Benjamin Ryan Williams of Manchester, his step-son: A. J. Henson of Manchester, these nieces and nephews: Whitney Faith Williams, Donavon Williams, Tessa Hubbard, and Dakota Williams, his wife: Lynn Downey, his parents: Jimmy Williams and Mae Kirk.  These brothers and sisters also survive: Anthony Williams of Manchester, Tabitha Williams of Lexington, Pebbles Hubbard of Manchester, Jimmy Lee Williams of Manchester and Mary Allen of Laurel County, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his brothers: Jimmy Dean Williams and Timothy Dewayne Williams, and his sister: Anna Mae Williams.

Funeral Services for Mr. Benji Williams will be Monday, August 8th, 2011 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Roscoe Roark, Rev. Willie Smith, and Rev. Don Hubbard will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in the Granny’s Branch Community.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 7th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eugene Messer

Eugene Messer, 57, of Liberty Hills, passed away Tuesday at his home.

He was a retired employee of the U.S. Forestry Service.

He is survived by his wife, Alpha Messer & the following children: Richard Eugene Messer & Wife, Sheila, Christina Renee Sizemore & Husband, Ryan, both of Manchester, & James Darren Messer & Wife, Shauna, London.

He is also survived by these grandchildren, Shelby, Taylor, Reagan, Olivia & Maci Messer, Madison Sizemore & Mikahlyn Poynter.

He is also survived by the following brothers & sisters, Flem Messer, Danville, KY., Estel Messer & Quada Trobaugh, both of London, Otto Messer, Leighman Messer & Betty Parks, all of Manchester.

Funeral services for Eugene Messer will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Herman Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home.
