Elijah Stewart, 73, of Oneida, was born May 9, 1937. He went home to be with the Lord March 24, 2011.
He leaves these sisters and brother: Roma Riley, Union, KY., Zelda Stewart, Oneida, and Elbert Stewart and Wife Ruby, Cold Springs, KY. Along with several nieces and Nephews. Elijah was a very special part of the Stewart family and loved to sing, play the banjo and sit on the front porch.
He was a member of the Antepast Baptist Church.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Boyd and Sylvania Stewart and the following brothers and sisters: Hubert, Boyd Jr., Forester, Elmer, Joseph Lawton, Florence and Mallie.
Funeral services for Elijah Stewart were held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Tip Smith and Robert Hacker officiating. Burial followed at the Johnny Martin Cemetery at Oneida.
Visitation was Sunday evening at the Britton Funeral Home.

Lola Lee Bush born September 10, 1948 passed away March 21st, 2011. She leaves behind her husband Donnie, one son Donnie Michael & wife Rachel of London KY. & one grand daughter Kendall. She also leaves behind two brothers A.C. Henson of Billy’s Branch & A.T. Henson of London. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Hugh and Lillie Henson. Funeral services for Lola Lee Bush will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Holland & Jerry McKinley Holland officiating. Burial will follow at the McKinley Bush Cemetery at Elk Creek. Visitation was after 6:00 PM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home.

Mary Rose Couch, age 75, of the Tranquility Area near Seaman, Ohio, died Thursday, March 18, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 18, 1935 in Oneida, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Sarah Hensley Burns. She was a member of the Tranquility Full Gospel Tabernacle. She enjoyed playing the piano at home and church, she wrote and sang many original gospel songs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Joan and Jesse Disher of Seaman; four grandchildren, Evelyn Rose (Charles) Jones, Jonie Marie (Bobby) Sannan, Jennifer Lynn (Scott) Hargett, and Jesse Eugene (Heather) Disher all of Seaman; eight great grandchildren, Charles Jacob Jones, Joshua Timothy Jones, Makayla Rose Marie Jones, Michael Hacker, Robert Sannan, Jesse Isiah Hargett, Faith Noel Hargett, and Lani Jean Disher; two sisters, Doris Jean Burns of Dayton, Ohio, and Ozzie Bowling of Booneville, Kentucky; one brother, Ambrose Burns of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; and four step grandchildren, Lorie, Faye, Madison, and Natalie. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Homer Couch on February 27, 2008; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Tranquility Full Gospel Tabernacle near Seaman. Gary Ferguson will officiate with the assistance of Daniel McCann. Burial will follow in the Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Tranquility Full Gospel Tabernacle. Memorial donations may be made to the Tranquility Full Gospel Tabernacle, 182 Rankin Brothers Road, Seaman, Ohio 45679. The Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro, is serving the family.
