Mark Anthony Asher

Mark Anthony Asher, 48, of Greenbriar, passed away Sunday at his mother’s home.  He is survived by his wife, Vanda Downey Asher & theses children: Anthony Asher, David Wayne Downey & Misty Asher, all of Manchester.  He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, his mother, Doris Lee Asher, Horse Creek, & the following brothers & sisters: Jason Asher, wife Sheila, Manchester, Randy Asher, wife Beverly, Betty Sellards, husband Ben, London, KY., Charles Wayne Asher, Jonny Asher, all of Hima.  He was preceeded in death by his brother, Carl “Buzzy” Asher.  Funeral services for Mark Anthony Asher will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Britton Funeral Home Chapel with George Robers, James Wagers & Phillip Proffitt officiating.  Burial will follow at The Keen & Woods Cemetery at Hyden.  Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Tuesday at Britton Funeral Home.

Elisha Mills

Elisha Mills, 29, of Bright Shade, the daughter of Vickie Mills, passed away Monday at the Central Baptist Hospital at Lexington.   Funeral services for Elisha Mills were held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Reggie & Kenneth Jones officiating.  Burial followed at The Stewart Cemetery at Bright Shade.

David Alan Combs

David Alan Combs, age 57 of Hamilton passed away at Atrium Medical Center on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:48 PM. He was born in Hamilton on March 30, 1953 the son of Charles and Kizzie (Crawford) Combs. He was employed as a registered nurse for the State of Ohio and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. On November 26, 1973 in Hamilton he married Diane Flaig and was a very dedicated father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Combs of Hamilton; a son, Erick (Amy) Combs of Hamilton; a daughter, Libby Combs of Hamilton; a sister, Patricia (Steve) Dussair of Cherry Valley, Illinois; three grandchildren, Katlin, Matthew, and Abigail; a cousin, John Carey of Hamilton; an aunt, Marie Arnold of North Palm Beach, Florida; and close friends Bradley and Linda Whalen of Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Smith; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Arleen Flaig.

Funeral service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1285 Main Street, on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Jud, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. www.browndawson.com

Darrell Davidson

Darrell Davidson, 53, of Oneida, passed away Wednesday at The Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN.  He is survived by the following children: Nicholas Davidson, Highland Heights, KY., Shawn Tyler Davidson & Brandon Darrell Davidon, both of Oneida, Ciara Marie Davidson, Richmond, KY. & Whitney Lynn Davidson, Pippa Passas, Ky.  He is also survived by his parents, Calvin & Sophia Davidson, Oneida & these brothers, James Calvin Davidson, Laurel Creek, Gary Davidson & Terry Gaston Davidson, both of Oneida.  Funeral services for Darrell Davidson will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Joey Burn officiating.  Burial will follow at the Estill Davidson Cemetery at Oneida.  Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Saturday at the Britton Funeral Home.

 

The family of Darrell Davidson would like to thank everyone for their comforting words and kindness in this time or sorrow. We are so blessed to have such caring friends and family. Thank you for everything. Darrell’s friends and family will miss him terribly. Bill Allen

Bill Allen, 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Formerly of Clay County, the husband of Mary Allen, passed away Friday at the Hospice of Cincinnati.  Funeral services for Bill Allen were held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Kilburn officiating.  Burial followed at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
